WESTWOOD is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles in the Westside region of Los Angeles County. It contains Holmby Hills and is bordered by neighboring communities which include Bel-Air, Beverly Crest, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Century City, and West Los Angeles. It is approximately 3.68 miles in size and has a population of just over 56,700. Westwood is a commercial and residential neighborhood in the northern central portion of the Westside region of Los Angeles which also has numerous full service high-rise condominiums in the Wilshire Corridor. In addition to UCLA, other attractions include WESTWOOD VILLAGE, with its historic movie theaters, restaurants and shopping, Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery (the final resting place of many of Hollywood's biggest stars), the HAMMER MUSEUM, the GEFFEN PLAYHOUSE and the nearby WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY SHOPPING MALL.
